I am interested in the therapeutic use of psychedelics - I have a longterm diagnosis of bipolar disorder and anxiety (25+ years) and finding new treatments for mental illness. As such, I am developing wearable technology that delivers a variety of liquids (primarily for personalised fragrance) as a self-delivered intervention for mental distress, delivered once an intelligent system has detected an increase in stress or other parameters. My startup owns patents in this field, awarded in the UK, USA and China ( ). Our latest patent published in Feb 2019, includes techniques and future applications for micro-dosing psilocybin, LSD, cannabinoids and other liquids for personalised therapeutic treatments in wearable technology. I'm a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, a member of Cambridge Neuroscience, I have a degree in Fashion from Central Saint Martins, a PhD from the Royal College of Art and spent many years as a Reader in Sensory Fashion at Central Saint Martins and working at the Institute of Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge.
