Help the Psychedelic Society find a new home in London!

For those of you who have been with us for a while, you might remember our cosy former space in Homerton, East London. It was a second home to many - where countless dances were had, friendships formed, minds blown, tears shed, and hearts opened. It saw and held it all.

When the pandemic hit, the team had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to our space and take our work online. In a way this was a blessing, allowing us to reach far-flung kindred spirits across the world for the first time. But nearly three years later, we're feeling the call to finally put down roots again and find a location that will serve as a homebase of support and exploration for the psychedelic community in London.

We need your help!

With rent prices what they are the venue search is proving difficult and we know sometimes the best gems are hidden. We’re asking you, the community, to help us in guiding us to any spaces that might be a good fit for our daily workshops, courses, and events.

What we’re looking for

We're dreaming of a venue with a large main hall to host our talks, breathwork, meditation, sharing circles and other events, and a separate cosy café/living room area for hanging out and socialising.

  • Budget = approx £5000/month

  • Main space with wooden floor suitable for dance, capacity at least 50 seated. (Ideally this would be more like 100 capacity as there are many incredible spaces in London that cater for groups of 25-50.)

  • Can play music at a reasonable volume until at least 10pm (ideally later)

  • Location: centralish location in London, no more than 15 minute walk from tube or overground

  • Important but not essential: Secondary space suitable as a chillout/café/social space, kitchen (can be small), storage space, friendly neighbours, something we can beautify and decorate to make feel like home, lots of natural light, warm/well-insulated/well-ventilated, ground floor/disabled access)

If you have any leads or connections please get in touch at lauren@psychedelicsociety.org.uk

With the rental market as wild as it is, we are also looking for keen partners to share a space with us - please also get in touch if you have a venture that would jive well with our regular evening events!
