The Psychedelic Society exists to reinstate the public understanding of and access to psychedelics in the UK and beyond.
We're a non-profit organisation aspiring to the Teal paradigm, and we rely on the generosity of people who understand the transformative potential of psychedelics.

Fri 10th Jan 2020 Basically I'm interested in the possible therapeutic uses of psilocybin as well as exploring altered states of consciousness through the practice of meditation and similar techniques. I've become more interested in the past year or so after I found out that recent scientific studies into psilocybin have been very optimistic in their conclusions.

I'm a meditation teacher and practitioner, and a strong believer in the power of the mind to make, remake and rediscover itself, if it's liberated to do so. I'm post alcohol, post cigarettes and post most drugs, which I believe simply cloud and distract us from our terror of facing reality (whatever that is). I want to explore further and deeper.

Psychedelics have dramatically changed my life and perception on reality as I'm sure it has for all of you. I'm absolutely fascinated by these higher states of consciousness and have been told by the mushroom that part of the reason I'm on earth right now is to help spread consciousness.

I had never taken any drugs before reading Michael Pollan's book: "How to Change Your Mind". This encouraged me to try psilocybin and the Psychedelic Society provided a safe, legal environment to do this via their regular retreats. Definitely recommended.

I joined to connect with other like-minded individuals, along with furthering my understanding and experiences with psychedelic substances and overall connection with the world around me.

I joined the Psychedelic Society because it has many spiritual and knowledgeable events about psychedelics going on every other day. It brings people together to let our souls meet and discover more. I have come across some crazy events hosted by the Psychedelic Society. I love this place. It’s fun and very peaceful.

I am so happy that there are dedicated scientists and researchers out there, breaking the mould and researching these amazing substances. I am more than willing to support this movement and be a part of it! And through it, I hope to meet some new and interesting people

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Exeter, specializing in the Philosophy of Psychiatry. Having had personally meaningful and transformative experiences with psychedelics - including dealing with anxiety, and overcoming a 15-year tobacco addiction - I am convinced of the therapeutic benefits of responsible use in the right set and setting. And as a musician, psychedelics have helped me explore new creative depths and push the boundaries of expression. For these reasons (and more), I wish to be part of a community of like-minded individuals engaged with these medicines for healing, personal growth, and creative inspiration.

I love what the psychedelic society stand for and the people it attracts as a result. I would love to spend as much time with this collective of beings as I possibly can so we can help each other evolve rise and expand together into the infinite consciousness.

I attended one of the Psychedelic Society's Experience Retreats. It was a wonderful experience, with the most interesting group of people, and I currently feel so much more relaxed, confident, and sociable. The facilitators were superlative. I’m looking forward to further catch ups with my group, understanding more about psychedelics, and how these can effect positive change into my life on an ongoing basis.
